Refund Policy

The short version: If you're not happy with your Chordalia Systems software purchase, email support@chordalia.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full. No questions asked.

14-day refund window

Chordalia Systems LLC (“Chordalia Systems”, “we”) offers a 14-day refund on all Chordalia Systems software purchases (Arion today, plus any related add-ons or upgrades; this policy will extend to other Chordalia products as they ship). The window starts on the date your order is completed and the license file is delivered.

Within those 14 days you may request a full refund for any reason — the software didn't fit your workflow, your machine doesn't meet a requirement, you simply changed your mind. We don't require a justification.


How to request a refund

Email support@chordalia.com with:

We will acknowledge your request within two business days and process the refund within seven business days of approval. The refund is issued back to the original payment method via our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy). It typically appears on your statement within five business days of issue, depending on your bank.


What happens to your license after a refund

Once a refund is issued, the license file delivered with your purchase is no longer authorized for continued use. You agree to uninstall the licensed product (or revert it to the free Personal edition where applicable) once the refund is confirmed. Continued use of the software with a refunded license is a breach of the End User License Agreement.

Because all Chordalia Systems software runs entirely on hardware you control, we do not have the technical ability to forcibly revoke a license file from your machine. We rely on your cooperation here, and reserve the right to refuse future purchases from accounts that abuse the refund policy.


After the 14-day window

Refunds outside the 14-day window are at our discretion. If our software develops a defect that significantly impairs functionality and we are unable to fix it within a reasonable time, contact us and we will work with you on a fair resolution — which may include a refund, an extended free upgrade, or a credit toward a future product.


One refund per customer per product

To prevent abuse, customers are entitled to one refund per product family. If you refund an Arion Family license and later wish to purchase Arion again, you are welcome to do so — but the 14-day refund window does not reset on the second purchase.


Subscriptions

Some Chordalia Systems products (e.g. Arion Archive) are sold on an annual subscription. The 14-day refund window applies to the initial purchase of a subscription. Renewal payments are not refundable, but you may cancel the subscription at any time to prevent future renewals; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term, and you retain access to the licensed software until then.


Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any statutory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction (e.g. the EU's 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU, the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or equivalent local legislation). Where local law grants stronger refund rights than this policy, those rights apply.
